ADULT AND FAMILY PROGRAMS

Adult Technology /Computer Learning Lab

The Neighborhood Family Center offers comprehension computer classes to the community. These classes are free to the public and are for all ages. The Computer lab has state- of-the-art computer and media equipment. Classes are offered through 6 - 8 weeks sessions and include materials. The classes offers a source for children and adults alike to use the center as a source to gain knowledge in a ever-so-technical world.

The Adult Program offers free computer classes to adults 18 and older. The sessions starting with very basic computer use, hardware/software, buying a computer, general computer skills, windows navigation, Microsoft word, Internet, email, and other applications. Then the classes progress to intermediate and advanced. The sessions are 6 weeks each of instruction. The full program is 18 weeks with one week break between each session. Adults experience hands-on training on start of the art technology equipment including desktop system with XP operating system, scanner, laser printer, digital camera, USB port operation. At the end of each session students receive a certificate of completion.
